They're bringing the buildings down now because nobody will buy them. They're an eyesore.

As I understand from David Cay Johnston's books, Trump owns almost no hotels now. He just leases his name and management teams to certain venues, and he gets annual fees. More and more venue owners are cancelling the contracts because they don't want his name on their hotels any more.
