Merrick Garland

I had never heard him speak until he became AG. I've listened to his two most recent press conferences and am so impressed with his thoughtfulness and insight into not only inequality, injustice and inequity, but the explosion of violent right-wing white supremacist groups. He sees it clearly. (I'm sure Sessions and Barr saw it clearly, too, but they promoted it because they are white supremacists.)

It made me think that perhaps it is fortunate he wasn't seated on the Supreme Court. The AG position right now is more critical than it has been in a long time given the blatantly treasonous, violent white supremacist insurrectionists throughout government, law enforcement and our citizenry.

He is soft spoken but may be the perfect person to deal with the horrific fuckery that has come to the surface in plain sight - seemingly everywhere - over the last five years.

I sure hope so. He sees it clearly and thus he surely knows how vitally important accountability is in order to face this evil before we can even think about healing.

Please, please make it so...

No justice, no peace.

Yes, he is, but we lost that seat and that is so terrible. Someone else would have been a good AG.

Yes, it's sad that we lost him on the supreme court. But we also need him here now. If he was in the supreme court he wouldn't have the power that the AG office has given him. So I'm happy he got this job.

We needed him on the SC, plug Doug Jones or Kamila Harris (since we should be in Hillary's second term right now) would have both made as good if not better AG's.
