But some things are objective reality and very hard to dismiss. The stock market hasn't crashed, COVID turns out to be REAL, and President Biden is doing a fantastic job with the rollout. Opinion polls prove that at least some of them recognize empirical evidence when it hits them in the face like a cold, dead fish.

Personal approval rating may not be through the roof, but it has never been less than 10 points more than the Previous Guy ever achieved...and, when the options are more narrowly defined, he is killing it in the polls, even among Rs.

Some of them MUST be reachable, and I wish that number could be expanded by some (possibly a little unseemly) PR. I think it's time to revisit 538 and see how much has been broken out by issue and party, and what that might mean.
