Last of the initial 2 was late April, so I qualified for the booster and got it this afternoon. 3 hours on and I feel just fine, not even a sore spot.
Got my Annual Flu shot last Thursday, so.....if anyone needs an Anode, so to speak.......
I was on the road and away from home for a few days last week when I picked up a weird cold that started with what felt like Strep throat. Because I have COPD, I immediately got an appointment for when I got home. I tested Negative, which I'm happy for.
So...I'm happily triple-vaxxed for Covid and I'll be less susceptible to the Flu.
Get the shots everyone, and stay safe and well.

(2,343 posts)Felt fine throughout the rest of the day. Woke up Satuday morning with body aches from head to toe. 800mg of Advil had me feeling fine within a couple hours. I woke up Sunday morning, with the same thing. Had to miss church. Took the same dose of Advil and was soon fine. No issues since.

(27,052 posts)Up until now I had virtually no side effects. This time, on the first day, I experienced a swelling like mumps on one side of my neck, below my ear. It disappeared quickly, though. Then it re-appeared once more in the middle of the night. Nothing after that.
I've had my flu short, too, a week or so before the booster. It's a relief.

It is indeed a relief, no doubt.

(29,799 posts)Should be fine with booster, a tad nervous of the flu shot, did get kinda sick the last time I got one. Its been awhile, like 10 years, but getting older I thought I should just get it and live with the consequences. Keeping fingers crossed I dont have to much of a reaction.

(24,382 posts)I had not had a bad flu-like illness for quite a while, but I guess my Pulmonologist must have talked me into it.

(29,799 posts)Mostly the left, and sorry cant remember which shot it was. All I remember is the nurse asking me which is my dominant arm, I said my right so he said, ok then, Ill give ya the _______ shot in that left arm then. Next shot, and again I cant remember which one, was given in the right arm. Ill say tho, the left arm is more sore then the right arm but shoot, both hurt way more then the two previous Moderna shots.
