The Voting Rights Act was gutted in 2013

Ever since then - Governors, State Assemblies, State Senates across America have been doing everything they can to make is so black Americans can't vote.

We need the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act - because black Americans should not be taxed without representation, or have their right of choice taken away.

Who else is not surprised at the GOP's behavior in the Senate today?

Actually, it would be quite difficult for GOPers to overturn Atlanta's vote. Hoyt Nov 2021 #6

Their eventual goal is to make sure no one can vote except their own brain-dead followers. Then they'll just do away with elections altogether.

GA in particular - because there is no Preclearance Law anymore -

Literally gets to overturn Atlanta's votes.

Do you really expect the child of a Jim Crow black American to believe in fairy tales and unicorns?

2020 was our last vote unless white Democrats get their act together and make sure we can vote.

… the disabled.

Any time the powerful take away polling booths and polling places, shut down early voting and voting by mail, and demand excessive amounts of ID, it hurts many people of all races.

At this point we need to be educating everyone that this issue is everybody’s.
