Jenna Ryan, a Donald Trump enthusiast who tweeted that shes definitely not going to jail after she stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, was sentenced to 60 days in prison on Thursday.
U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper said Ryan ― a Texas real estate agent who flew to D.C. on a private plane and promoted her business as she livestreamed in the Capitol ― played a lesser role in the criminal conduct that took place than many others did. But that does not mean that you dont have any culpability in what happened that day, Cooper said.
When she chose to leave her hotel room, she knew that she was going to something that wasnt a peaceful protest, Cooper said.
I dont think you could have missed the fact that this was no peaceful protest, Cooper said. You were a cheerleader, you cheered it on.

(7,611 posts)1. Don't post video of you committing a crime.
2. Don't post video of you confessing you committed a crime.
3. Don't post video of you saying stuff that is really going to piss off a judge after you've been arrested for a crime.

(32,103 posts)Perhaps if she winds up losing her real estate license over this, that would help. But, it's in Texas, so they'll probably give this tub of rancid goo a medal for it.

(6,378 posts)It follows a trend for the sentencing for insurrectionists. 60 days for one person, 4 months for another, 3 months for another person, etc. Barely a slap on the wrist.

(3,460 posts)On Jan 13, she told Fox News: I did something noble and Im proud of being there, I have no shame to be there. I feel very persecuted. And on 18 January she told NBC News that she felt perfectly innocent about her involvement and: I did not know I was breaking the law.
By February, she changed her tune and told The Washington Post that she regrets everything and that she believes Trump lied to her about the 2020 election being stolen. I bought into a lie, and the lie is the lie, and its embarrassing, she said.
It was AFTER she attempted to absolve her sins that she wrote about her blonde hair white skin a great job a great future and Im not going to jail And what did Jenna do after the sentencing? Why, she went right to the media, of course. She spoke to the local DC network immediately after her sentencing. She blamed the media for her jail time, and said she should be able to tweet without being "persecuted."
She blamed everyone for her actions. Except herself.

When that door slams shut she'll get the wake up bell of a lifetime.
Where is she going to do her time? In D.C. or is there a federal prison close by?
