1. I assume Dolt 45 is not at Powell's funeral with the other former presidents.

Even dead people don't want him around.

Because he'd have been there otherwise; you know there's nothing he loves more than being on TV, and he would have been on TV if he'd come. On the other hand, the disadvantage for him in attending a funeral is that the deceased gets all the attention and praise.

off the cuff? He'd be mentioning "fake russia investigation," Powell wasn't quite white enough for his taste, election fraud, and how he'd like to screw Ivanka.

not without some good and I say that with no loss of memory of his Iraq war and My Lai culpability--among other such issues.

Cheney, on the other hand, makes it impossible to imagine anything good to say about him when the heart he never deserved finally fails on him except that he's been mostly blissfully quiet the past decade and appeared to have the good sense to disdain Trump and his ilk.

Finally, there is Trump--totally devoid of humanity (who truly deserves every bit of bad karma until he sheds his "mortal coil," and then some--as well as a disdainful public Hitler or Mussolini-like send-off afterward and forever through history to come)

It really is a continuum, though. Ironically, it seems the old-school R's and quite a few of our own Dem politicos haven't forgotten that.

But, no, I'm not watching today so I'm glad to see Trump is once again the ultimate pariah in such circles.

He wouldn't be the center of attention, and Fox wouldn't be fawning all over his presence (like at the Braves game), so no upside to just crashing the service. He might have his proxies tweet out some self-serving blather to remind us all one more time how great he is.
