(9,197 posts)He's certainly going on about the media. Which, hey, I agree with him on most of what he's saying. The media has been atrocious since this whole thing started. Still, time and place, guy. Stop reading the news. Saw a comment online that said, "This guy needs to sequester himself." LOL, true.
Seems like it's been a minute since the judge has had a video situation with a jury, so they're going to make sure everything they do is 100% the rules and legal.
Can't believe he hasn't read the motion for dismissal. There is some serious shit in there.

(9,197 posts)And it's bad, because the motion to dismiss cites the fact that the prosecution provided the defense with a much lower resolution video than they themselves possessed. And it's the drone footage the prosecution is hanging their provocation hats on, the one they've been arguing about all last week.
Both sides are supposed to have equal access to evidence. It's a serious question that needs addressing.
Now, if it's the drone footage the jury wants to see, it opens up all kinds of problems. If the judge had made his ruling on this instead pissing about doing whatever, then the jury seeing the video wouldn't be an issue. If they view it before the judge rules, it's going to be a mess.

(6,009 posts)I know when I served on a jury a few years ago, we spent the entire first day reviewing the evidence, re-establishing a timeline of the events, and just going over everything. We didn't even have a vote on what we thought about a verdict until the second day of deliberation.
It was a pain, to be sure, the trial lasted 3.5 weeks, but it was restorative of my faith in my fellow citizen. We all took our job very seriously and wanted to do our best in our roles as jurors.
