When you consider how the GOP is relentlessly and diligently attacking democracy on a broad front...

...am I the only one who thinks no way the Rufous Doofus has got the intelligence, the persistence, attention span, or the cojones to orchestrate such a campaign?

Trump. We have a right wing Supreme Court that has been handing down right wing decisions for years, starting with the Rehnquist Court. Civil rights has been on a downward slide ever since then. Rehnquist started his career putting blacks off the voting rolls in Texas.

We need to eith expand the Court, get some moderates or hope a few retire or kick the bucket.

I know I sound petty, at this point I am.

"We need to eith expand the Court, get some moderates or hope a few retire or kick the bucket."

It's not Moderates running a full blown campaign against the Democratic Party from within.
Just sayin.

Change the Court, one way or another. They are destroying our Liberty, piece by piece.

They will vote against the OSHA mandate, too. No matter how many will die. OSHA has protected the worker as long as I can remember. The Court protects the elite!

Maybe ditch the labelling pols into groups. Who the heck decides what 'group' a pol belongs in, anyway.
I'd prefer to call them middle or fringe.
Middle is the point of balance.

The court was lost when the fringe knocked the point of balance off kilter.

You can add ALEC, John Birch Society, University of Chicago economists, Federalist Society, numerous oligarchs and many others to this list. It has been coordinated over many years. Orange guy is only a tool in this effort, not capable of planning such a thing on this broad of a scale.

But this war has gone on since 1770, at least.

Tories have always been around. Today we call them conservatives. Most want to live in an authoritarian world because they are intellectually lazy and want to be told what to do.

Note, I am getting emails from Fox News complaining that 98% of Twitter, Facebook and YouTube employees donate to Democrats. The whine was that those companies were censuring Republicans, but not Democrats.
