Also I have really drunk people do it.
And elderly people in the psych unit trying to take nightly meds after they woke up after deep sleep or were really tired. .

(17,049 posts)He has extreme arthritis in his hands and shoulders, he cannot use a straw because he also has stenosis in his neck and throat. He drinks all fluids this way.
Not to excuse the orange menace, but yes, I have seen this.
