Fla. Republican loses by 59 percentage points, won't concede

A Florida Republican who was defeated by 59 percentage points in a congressional special election won't concede

A Florida Republican who last Tuesday lost a congressional special election by a landslide margin in a heavily Democratic district has declined to concede the race, according to CBS Miami.

Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick — a progressive Democrat who pledged to fight for $1,000 monthly checks for Americans and backs policies including the Green New Deal and Medicare for All — easily defeated Republican Jason Mariner in the race to succeed the late Congressman Alcee Hastings, who passed away in April 2021.

With all precincts reporting, Cherfilus-McCormick defeated Mariner by a 78.7% to 19.6% margin in Florida's 20th District — representing a 59.1 percentage-point victory. The congresswoman-elect received 43,663 votes to her opponent's 10,883 votes in a clear victory.

However, in a move reminiscent of former President Donald Trump, who continues to dispute his election loss to President Joe Biden, Mariner has pointed to irregularities in the South Florida district.

What to take from this?

They aren't pretending anymore.

They have no use for democracy, and intent to kill it.

And possibly us, if they succeed.

Conceding is not required. The winner gets seated anyhow. So, who cares about yet another GQP loser?

Something tells me that the candidate is one with some serious flaws obvious to all.

And this claiming to be fraud and such, isn't this the same in a way as fraudulently voting, etc.? These accusations are getting out of hand, w/ no evidence what-so-ever, so this claiming fraud etc. should be made a crime too, since it is consuming state resources to counter, etc., kind of like someone claiming that some crime has occurred when in fact, none did.

This guy strongly reminds me of the guy who earlier this week was proudly pointing to the 1500 confirmed instances of vote fraud nationwide in the 2020 election as definitive evidence that the election was stolen.

For argument, let's say that's true.

So 1500 across 50 states.

That's 30 per state.

Were any of the states within a 30 vote margin? No?

So let's say that some of the fraud was concentrated so that five times as much existed in one state.

Were any states within a 150 vote margin? No?

Hmm....

Now was the confirmed fraud all for one presidential candidate or was there some for each?

Oh, some for each?

Let's see how that works out mathematically....

...and thus these fascist snowflakes tell themselves -- and everyone within whining distance -- they had to have been cheated against.

These are the first people to bitch about "participation trophies" being handed out to losers, and yet they insist on being handed first prize for coming in last.
