Thats not what they were hired for.
Trump lawyers are hired to find loopholes in the law that can be repeatedly exploited to prevent any case from coming to trial. If they ever ran out of loopholes Trump would be sunk but it looks like they never will. At least not while he is alive.

That's what money can buy you.
If you are rich enough and have lawyers who concentrate on nothing but delaying and confounding the law you can dance around the legal system forever.
