The price of kleenex is making me cry

KLEENEX 2-Ply White Tissue 144 ea (Pack of 6) $21.99

I was going to add some kleenex to my grocery order at Walmart. Remember when you could get a big box of tissues with 250 sheets for around $2.50?

Now they are selling more of the small packages. I didn't see any with more than 150 sheets. And if you buy 6 boxes, that's about $3.67 each.

Paper towells and toilet paper are expensive too. But all of these paper products are necessities. It just eats up the whole paycheck. It sucks when you're sick and have to worry about using too much Kleenex.

At my local Target I can get a three box package of Puffs with 180 tissues in each box for around $5.00.

Check out another store. People have been bamboozled into thinking everything is cheaper at Walmart, and that simply isn't true.

The Walmart generic is 4 boxes With more sheets for under $5.

We save a crap ton of money by using generics for most things.

Worked in a plant that made Nabisco product and generics, very little difference.

There are a few things we go name brand, but given that usually the difference is in packaging and ad budgets, you can't beat the cost savings of generics and store brands.

Mostly the increment goes to television, not improved product.

But I think the cheaper ones sell out first.

The price of everything is going up noticeably. Since I live alone it doesn't work well for me to buy in big quantities. I just don't have room for it.

The price of membership is the money I save by buying gas there. And I store them at the top of the kitchen cabinets under the ceiling.

Either Wal-Mart is price gouging, or this is a mistake. And, the Puffs and Target brands were even cheaper.

Weird AF.
