A conversation in a social group I belong to in Facebook went something like this:
Person #1: Sorry guys, I tested positive for covid right after our lunch Tuesday.
Person #2: I have bronchitis or something.
Person #3: Can I join the lunch next month?
This is why the pandemic will never end.

(4,684 posts)2. I hear you. Last night I went to a meeting where everybody was masked and stayed apart.
When it was over, somebody yelled surprise, it's so-and-so's last day, so here's cake and let's party! As 20 people elbowed around the table, I edged along the wall and slunk out the door.

(21,872 posts)3. Went to a memorial service for a good friend that died of Covid.
All these weeping, grieving people and not a mask among them.
And of course, lots and lots of hugging.
