(6,452 posts)90% police officers. I don't see the PUBLIC recognition here that the OP is touting. It actually looks a little more threatening to me. The amount of LEOs in those clips is stunning. And they "stand together" in very orderly fashion.

(5,038 posts)Although I didn't find it threatening, per se. I just feel like that's what people in certain jobs do - LEO, Firefighters, military. When there is a death in their ranks, they put on their uniforms and go stand at attention. I'm guessing there are LEO from the surrounding areas there as well.

(9,479 posts)Officers and civilians working with them were vaccinated very early and only at one hospital. Vaccines were extremely limited and the oversight process thorough back then.

At present there appears to still be a test or vaccinate mandate, but the police union has been fighting this legally. So yeah. It looks like there are "thousands" of cops in NYC (of the roughly 50,000 officers) who are as yet unvaccinated. Sorry i can't be more specific... maybe someone else can dig up more granular info?

(16,423 posts)One would think that the cops would want to enforce rigorous moral and ethical standards in their ranks...
How many cops took to the streets to demand justice when it was revealed that the NY AGs have a list of cops they should not call as witnesses in trial... BECAUSE THESE ARE KNOWN DIRTY COPS.
That's correct. Zero.
Not a single cop stood up for integrity and honor.
