Kidney Patient Rejects Transplant to Stay Anti-Vax
‘NOT CHANGING MY MIND’

WSOC

A North Carolina man who desperately needs a new kidney is rejecting a transplant because the coronavirus vaccine is required. “I was born free. I will die free,” double amputee Chad Carswell told WSOC. “I’m not changing my mind... I’ve had conversations with my family and everybody who is close to me and they know where I stand and there will not be a situation that occurs where I’ll change my mind on this topic.” The hospital, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, requires the vaccine for anyone on a transplant list because those patients would be vulnerable to severe disease or death if they were infected after the operation—which would mean a scarce organ could go to waste.

Will go against his medical teams advice. Good they won't waste it on someone like that. Give it to someone who wants to live and is willing to do what is necessary.

Let an ivermectin doctor do it.

The fact that he‘s choosing the slow version changes nothing.

I’m in awe of the propaganda machine that created this attitude. Does he not know that everyone pushing antivax is vaccinated?

because you need to follow the rules if you want one.

So, when he dies, no sympathy from me.

He made a choice and he will receive the consequences of his choice.

She had another good 10 years after the transplant for a full life. After the transplant she had to be diligent on her diet and taking anti rejection drugs. She followed the Nephrologists’ directions to the letter. I’m guessing even if they waived the vaccine require this youngish dude wouldn’t take care of the gift of a new kidney and a new lease on life.

I wonder if life insurance will pay out if you die from organ failure when you had the chance to prevent it?

They told him "no vaccination, no transplant." If I get on a list to buy a limited edition Ferrari, but I have no money or credit when the Ferrari is ready for delivery, there's nothing for me to reject.
