Last edited Mon Jan 31, 2022, 04:48 AM - Edit history (1)

he focused on no tolerence of harassment of poll workers, law enforcement etc...
the orange con encouraged the magaloons to do just that at the conroe tx lie fest.
Did Mr Garland tune in to the lie fest I wonder ?

4. One would expect the subject of a crazy and treasonous speech, fomenting violence .........

against the election process by a former president would surface during some sort of perpetual conversation about the state of national law and order in the office of the country's number one LEO. This is especially likely since the former president has had some past success in wielding violent mobs and, indeed, is currently the subject of intense observation/investigation because of just that sort of thing.

I'm hoping, along with many others I'm sure, the AG's statements defining his tolerance levels indicate a readiness for actions beyond finger wagging and public speaking about where the line-in-the-sand actually is. I can only think that the current level of speechification in lieu of action is because he's not certain his directives from Washington, D.C. would be carried out in red-state strongholds without scenes of cop-on-cop violence and other unseemly episodes of mayhem both physical and spoken. Indeed, warrants for the apprehension of legislators and local law enforcement leadership is not a good look for any civilized democratic society, but that is the way the winds of justice are blowing. As El Presidente, General Jackson is noted to have said about the USSC, "they've made their decision, let them enforce it". So it goes, national politics played out as a high stakes game of "chicken", which, by the way, is the only game Trump understands. Don't worry that you'll miss a single thrilling moment, for our edification and/or entertainment, the propaganda value of such a game is infinitely newsworthy.

5. I watched the Garland speech before the Senate committee

the GQP Senators attacked Garland for denying people their 1st Amendment rights and Garland backed down. Garland said that DOJ would work with local law enforcement to prevent violence against election workers, school board officials. The harassment continues.

In Garland's defense, more recently I believe he set up a task force to deal with this harassment. Maybe something will come of that.

But as far as his speech before the Senate committee, Republicans ate his lunch.
