In the end, the media will correct themselves. The one thing they don't like doing is having egg on their face. Nothing will leave egg on their face than having a "virtual tie" becoming a 3-4 point race. Something like that destroys their credibility when the next election cycle comes around.

(3,072 posts)I was watching MsNBC and their entire panel, except Olbermann, kept saying that the election was going to come down to the wire and no one knew what was going to happen. 2 hours later, Obama had 340+ ev and ended up winning by 7.8 points. If they try to sell a tie when one candidate is up by 8 points in the polls, they sure are going to when Obama is up by 2 or 3
