Russian Troops Just Got Caught Looting Homes in Ukraine

Watch Russian Soldiers Allegedly Steal from Ukrainian Home – A video clip shared on Twitter this week appears to show Russian soldiers looting a home in Ukraine.

The soldiers do not look for food and other essentials that would aid them on the battlefield, but instead appear to go rummaging through the homeowner’s personal belongings.
The video starts by showing five Russian troops opening the front gate of a home.

The men, wearing full military gear and armed with weapons, then walk into the home and can be seen stealing items from a white cupboard in one of the rooms in the home.
An additional soldier walks into the same room and picks up a pair of sunglasses, before putting them on his head and walking out of the room.

At the end of the video, soldiers can be seen leaving the home with bags full of stolen items and loading them into a trailer being pulled by a Russian vehicle. One soldier smokes a cigarette as the other men load the equipment, and another soldier can be seen riding a motorized scooter, which may also have been taken from the property.

Of all countries to deploy guys like they have, where they have, the way they have, this time of year, there is no excuse. They have a bunch of drunks and looters running things. It's like they learned nothing from WWII.

I would not expect that from security cameras in the house. Maybe being zoomed & panned from afar?

… economy that their troops would be loading washing machines, toilets, and kitchen stoves onto trains for shipment back home. I mean what the hell, these are items that exist in 99% of homes in the rest of the developed world.

It also says something about the Russian military that this is allowed, or possibly encouraged. It’s all of a piece with the even worse war crimes against human beings.

Which begs the question: just what kind of *hole country is the Soviet Union — I mean, Mother Russia?

with a first world military (the military part now open to question).

There were stories going around a while ago of some Russian troops not knowing what how a flush toilet works.
