Should the people of this country that have

I have many family members that have been suckered and I don't know if they will ever regain sanity.

and practically my whole family to this rightwing brainwashing, I have tried to be around them but they make comments that are totally off the wall and I just can't be around them anymore.
I guess you're right that I can still choose new friends.

8. I still speak but do not engage in any conversation with them. I find with the MAGAts

you can't talk to them for two minutes without them bringing up politics. The MAGAts always try and
steer the conversation to politics like they are fishing for someone that will agree with them. If you don't
agree they think you are anti-Merican. The born-again Christians that used to get religion in every conversation
have evolved into MAGAts. I saw a guy at Mcdonalds that I went to high school with a few days ago. Him and his
wife made a big production when they got their food, praying while waving their hands in the air with their eyes shut. Yep
he is a MAGAt, that is one I quit speaking to years ago.

11. They never come back, from my experience dealing with family that is that way.

They might go from side to side and sort of teeter on the edge of waking up from the brainwashing, but usually that doesn't last long and they become entrenched in it for life.

On thing to remember, also, is that if they fell for this, they will fall for other obvious cult leaders/conspiracies/brainwashing too. That are susceptible to it and already lean that way. They are more than happy when something new and crazier than the last thing comes along.

I live in the Bible Belt in a small town that is like another world. These people are not even considered normal by nearby medium and larger towns in the same state. They are like a strange cult but swear up and down that if you don't agree with them, YOU are the one that is crazy or whatever. It's weird. The things I have seen and heard? I wish I could find a way to use an eraser to forget. Or find some kind of thing that would erase it all.

To be honest,be fair,not be a ken/ karen in public. I will not believe anything they say and I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. I admit,yes I am bigoted against narcissists,abusive people and seditionist right wing violent, christian nazi tactical cosplayer gun nut, pieces of shit that think my identity/gender isnt valid and believe I don't deserve equal rights like they take for granted.
