A recent study projected that by the time Black children in Maricopa turn 18, there’s a 63% chance they'll see their parents investigated by DCS, the highest rate among the 20 largest US counties.

Put another way, more Black children in metro #Phoenix will go through a child maltreatment investigation than won’t.

I've been digging around and found:

It's funny to me now when I hear that mastodon is too hard for people. Not because I don't understand how that first week can be confusing, even a little frustrating, but because after you've figured a few basic things out (see @feditips) mastodon is effortless. No hate-filled, violent replies you have to brace yourself for. No outrage news designed to invoke anger & despair. No migraine-inducing ads. The cost to my mind, my mental health, my soul is zero. This is ease. This is calm. It's easy

This caused me to glance at my little ublock origin icon and it doesn't have a number on it. It's found 0 things to block since I've been digging around there.

Oh, and after reading that mastodon's growth has been 588% since Egoloon bought twitter, I saw:
