I don't know how much WV politics parallels AZ but have to think Joe is assessing his options given the new reality as well. Sinema was pretty low key about things but Joe seemed to relish a place in the spotlight.

(22,919 posts)Manchin needs Republican votes to win in WV, but he needs all of the Democratic votes also. If he breaks with Democrats he would lose many of them.

Despite people opinion of him in these board, he is the best shot to keep this seat D in an extremely red state imo.
