know literally nothing about him. wouldnt know if he was great at 1 time or not. but that’s what folks think.
i also think it was prolly on brand for the school at the time. they were rly growing at that point, and trying to make themselves an international force. this is just the sort of press that they were looking for at that time.

a lot of higher learning institutions have given out honorary degrees like that. I don't mean to single SAIC out.

I'm familiar with a few of his "songs". They're average pop songs. Nothing groundbreaking IMHO.

not long after i left, they realized they made a lot more money off international students.
but like most places att, there was racism, and some incidents, and i’m sure this was an effort to ‘fix’ that.
i dont think it played well in japan.

Wish they'd honored my former husband, a many years ago graduate, imo a GREAT artist who appears go have been ignored by too many. (Will try to post one of his pics later.)
