(70,330 posts)know literally nothing about him. wouldnt know if he was great at 1 time or not. but thats what folks think.
i also think it was prolly on brand for the school at the time. they were rly growing at that point, and trying to make themselves an international force. this is just the sort of press that they were looking for at that time.

I'm familiar with a few of his "songs". They're average pop songs. Nothing groundbreaking IMHO.

but like most places att, there was racism, and some incidents, and im sure this was an effort to fix that.
i dont think it played well in japan.
