Biden trying to get 10 Republican votes for the Child Tax Credit extension - link

Apparently, they've used up all their budget reconciliation opportunities for the year and any proposed legislation can be fillibustered. So they are trying to get Manchin (who earlier said Child Tax Credit recipients used the benefits to buy drugs) and 10 Republicans to go along with it. Seems like a pipe dream to me that 10 Republican Senators would go along with an extension of the Child Tax Credit, seeing as that's a major Dem. priority.

This shows how much we lost by losing the House- this would have been doable next year with a Dem. house, since Manchin's vote won't be needed.

Pro-natalism is rising among them, and their “populism” will be “make the childless pay.”
