If Biden didn't name replacements for Zollars and Doak, those two (who support DeJoy) will remain for a holdover year.
I don't see any press release or other information indicating that replacements have been named.

(32,111 posts)"Wait until (insert whatever date you like) and we will finally have enough votes to get rid of DeJoy." The fact is the majority of the Post Office Board are Biden appointees. And DeJoy is still there. The Biden appointees do not seem to have a priority of removing DeJoy.

Inexplicable.
Joe's taking the hit for DeJoy with many citizens who can't understand it all.
Every day I write explanation after explanation about how POTUS can't fire Postmaster.
But now --
Would it hurt for WH to update the American people?

I'm looking for an announcement from the WH, considering the enormous public interest in a Board composed of members who would fire DeJoy.
We soon will have to assume that Biden is going to allow those two whose term expired to be there for this additional year.
And the pleas and cries of citizens will go unaddressed. Uncountable numbers already blame Biden for not firing DeJoy directly, and that misunderstanding could be addressed in just a few minutes of WH press briefing to explain that POTUS can't fire Postmaster.

ERIC KATZ | OCTOBER 27, 2022
Two Democratic lawmakers who will no longer serve in Congress next year are looking to the U.S. Postal Service to continue their careers in the federal government.
Both Reps. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., and Brenda Lawrence, D-Mich., have thrown their names into the White Houses hat as it contemplates potential replacements for two of the nine appointed slots on the USPS board of governors. Maloney and Lawrence have reached out to postal unions and management associations soliciting support for their candidacies, according to several people involved in those discussions, and some vetting is underway.
The terms of two current board members, Lee Moak and Bill Zollars, are set to expire Dec. 8, though both are eligible to be kept on for a carryover year. President Biden could also opt to renominate one or both governors to a seven-year term. Any of the presidents postal board nominees would have to be confirmed by the Senate.

(13,571 posts)...have both expressed support for DeJoy. Their carryover will be most unfortunate.
And the most recent Biden appointment to that board was Derek Kan, who worked for Moscow Mitch and for Mrs. Mitch and for GOP finance committee.

WH. just take five minutes of briefing time to explain!
