The only one I can think of would be a big radio telescope on the far side, but it might be preferable to build and run that with robots.

Space above low earth orbit is an extremely hostile and dangerous place for humans.

Keeping humans alive there requires a lot of extra baggage.

Because of the Moon's low gravity, it would take a fraction of the fuel needed to launch compared to launching direct from earth.
