4. No, they are just money directly in his pocket, like campaign contributions but w/o FEC oversight.

He figured out if assholes wanna give him a hundred bucks for nothing, it's easier to give this NFT company a cut to manage the details and have the remainder go into his pocket than to have to waste time self-dealing campaign money through renting space/time at his resorts/clubs and whatnot. He doesn't even to show up for the crowds with this new grift.

How is that money laundering? How is it different from selling crap pillows or other things?

10. Because I don't buy that they sold out that fast with legitimate sales

Say Trump sells you some Classified Documents. You can't just give him $1 million with raising questions . But you buy 1,000 worthless NFT cards that cost Trump close to noting to produce (probably an Indian art farm made them for a few cents). You have just "legitimately" transferred $1M to Trump.

so you don't just sell unlimited numbers, otherwise they would be worthless (although in reality NFTs are already worthless, as everyone who was on the NFT craze a year ago already knows. I can't believe anyone would release an NFT now lol)

The population of adults in the US is close to 210 million.

31% of them approve of him.

That's well over 70 million people.

70 million morons can buy a bunch of crap in no time flat.

If N'Sync could sell 2.4 million albums in a week, then why be surprised that this idiot could sell 45000 digital files in a day to legitimate buyers?

he would do and the thing he is doing.

He’s making a boatload of money for almost no cost. He doesn’t have to be laundering money to make money this way.

I wouldn’t bet a screenshot of one of these priceless “cards” that at some point he won’t try to use this technology/scam for money laundering, but there’s no evidence to support belief he is doing that now. At this point, we could claim it’s the sort of thing we’d expect him to do. It would at least be true for me if not others.

14. "Sold Out" details from the NY Post (fwiw)

Former President Donald Trump’s line of digital trading cards had sold out a day after their release and their value had more than doubled, coin experts said Friday.

All 45,000 of the 45th president’s NFTs — which depict him as everything from a superhero to an astronaut — had sold as of 1:30 p.m. Friday.

According to NFT marketplace OpenSea, the collection was trading at a volume of 1,448 ETH, the equivalent of $1.73 million.

The floor price of the haul stood at around $220, up from Thursday’s mint price of $99.

One rare version of the non-fungible tokens, featuring Trump holding a torch in front of the Statue of Liberty, was listed with a “floor value” of almost $24,000, according to coindesk.com.

According to Dune Analytics, 12,874 people minted at least one token after the collection was released Thursday in what Trump, 76, teased as a “MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT.”

At least 115 customers minted 45 of the digital coins, the minimum number that guarantees an invitation to dinner with Trump, while 17 people minted at least 100, according to the outlet.
