I feel grateful that my parents believed education was important, that I was born white in the USA where it was all possible.

The republicans I know believe they earned everything they have. I don't. I feel I lucked into so much of it. As the Bible says, those to whom much is given, much is expected. That's how I live my life. I don't know many republicans who feel that way.
