Wauwatosa police chase porch pirates driving stolen car, recover 31 packages

WAUWATOSA, Wis. —
The Wauwatosa Police Department made a major porch pirate bust this week. They found a stolen car with 31 unopened packages inside.

They said a homeowner alerted them to the thieves.

"All of a sudden, our Ring camera went off. There was some motion. Didn't really make too much of it and just thinking it was another delivery guy. You click on the link to see kind of a preview of the video, and all of a sudden, I'm like, 'Wait a second,'" Josh Baker said. "He's not bringing a package. He was taking a package."

Baker sent his doorbell video to Wauwatosa police on Wednesday night. Hours later, officers said they spotted that car, and a chase ensued both by car and by foot.

One thief remains on the run. Police arrested the other and recovered the car they said was stolen with Baker's package and 30 others inside.
