If criminal referrals are so meaningless...?

..why is TFG so worked up about them?

The Committee cannot charge him or prosecute him. They can only refer him to the DOJ.

The Committee is looking at the referrals from an historical viewpoint, in my opinion. With all the evidence they have gathered against TFG, why wouldn't they refer him to the DOJ?

The "witch hunt" is over. The witch has been discovered. The witch broke numerous laws. The Committee is only reporting them. They have no more power.

It is up to the DOJ to prosecute the crimes against our people and our nation. The Committee will have done its job.

What innocent person is going to step forward and defend the "witch"?

1. I think the criminal referral also includes all the supporting evidence.

This moves all the committee’s files, depositions, unedited video interviews, etc over to DoJ. Without the referral, that all belongs to Congress and the new majority can deep six it all.

DoJ probably doesn’t learn anything new in specific but and inconsistencies in testimony that pop up put those individuals at risk, making them more open to a deal.

It’s a great idea to move the info into the Exec branch. Doesn’t guarantee any indictments but increases the odds snd ensures evidence won’t get “inadvertently” lost.

IMHO.

And they are making it all public too making it even harder for the insurrectionists to hide or lie about anything.

I think the Committee has been spectacular in doing their job. They sought out the facts, showed them to us and are sending appropriate referrals for criminal activity they discovered. And Mr. Smith will also have access to all of it.

in his "mind" he's faultless ("perfect phone call".)..everything with Trump is nuance and distance..he personally did not attack the Capital therefore how could he be charged..and I think the DOJ "hit" the coup masterminds first is so they would be cooking in their own juice (so to speak) and in a rush to save their own asses instead of Trumps...

Arguably, their exposure of unpleasant facts helped in the election and midterms.

Will there be another "perfect phone call"?

Held more hearings as needed. Therefore much more to use against the propaganda.
