Where did the insurrectionists get the material (wood, rope, hardware, tools) to construct a gallows? Other than the one picture there's no other pictures or video of these motherfuckers erecting this horror.
I hope this gets answered soon and I hope DoJ finds a way to nail these fuckers' peckers, metaphorically, to a wall.

(2,910 posts)It's not easy to conceal a couple of long 4x4's, tools, etc., in what is likely the most-surveilled plot of land in the US. They needed a pickup. For such an iconic image, there HAS to be a documented backstory.
And the weapons. I swear there were pictures of the guy in the tree with an AR-15. I saw the videos of people demonstrating how to thrust their sharpened flagpole-spears.
Cheney's insistence on Trump is obscuring a LOT of collusion and collaboration. She's trying to preserve the oligarchic GOP by sacrificing the QOP.

That's what I read anyway, I'm sure someone has pics that will show it with something to put it in perspective.

It covers things like unattended traps or devices set up by moonshiners.

(17,215 posts)That indicates the scale of the thing. It's not exactly a 'long drop' is it?
There's a BBC doco called "Four Hours at the Capitol" with a lot of footage that is not generally seen. While tfg was waffling on at his rally, thousands of folk were streaming towards the Capitol. It would only have taken half a dozen of them to carry this flimsy thing.
On Edit: See those two round fittings, left and right sides of the platform? Are they those instant fixture things often found on flat pack furniture? That could be the answer - ready to assemble private gallows.

(33,548 posts)The drop would be sufficient. It would take longer than a proper gallows, but it would do the job.
Assuming the structure is held together well enough.
