Jan. 6 committee recommends ethics inquiry against US Rep. Scott Perry

WASHINGTON — The House committee investigating the attack on the U.S. Capitol is recommending an ethics inquiry against U.S. Rep. Scott Perry (R-10) and three other members of Congress.

The Jan. 6 committee on Monday referred Perry and the others to the House Ethics Committee for refusing to comply with subpoenas issued by the panel.

Jay Ostrich, the spokesperson for Perry, released this statement in response:

"More games from a petulant and soon-to-be defunct kangaroo court desperate for revenge and struggling to get out from under the weight of its own irrelevancy.

"Congressman Perry is pressing on with his commitment to help his constituents, who, once again – unlike several members of this illegitimate entity – overwhelmingly sent him back to Washington to fix what President Biden and his enablers have broken."
