Pfft. NOT the Onion! Elon Musk plans to restrict Twitter polls after users vote for him to step down

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/elon-musk-plans-restrict-policy-104030576.html

Tue, December 20, 2022

(Reuters) - Elon Musk said on Monday Twitter Inc will restrict voting on policy-related polls to paying Twitter Blue subscribers, on the same day that users voted decisively in a poll for Musk to step down as chief executive of the social media platform.

Musk responded to a suggestion from a Twitter Blue subscriber, who said only subscribers should get a vote on policy polls, with "Good point. Twitter will make that change", without specifying when the change would come into effect.

Musk said on Sunday he would abide by the results of the CEO poll, but did not give details on when he would step down if the results said he should. He has not yet named a successor for the role.

Some of what he says ends up implemented and then unimplemented. Other stuff just disappears.

It seems reminiscent of TFG and to some extent he is looking for reactions. Trolling.

Can we perhaps just not react to all his crap?

as hard-and-fast policy changes. Otherwise they look stupid, flatfooted and out of date when "decisions" like this are reversed on a regular basis after they hit the hard wall of reality in a short space of time.

Musk is incredibly impressionable, and it seems like he takes what sycophants on Twitter tell him as gospel, whether they be his prime advisor Catturd, anonymous blue-tick blow-ins, or disgraced felons like Kim Dotcom. That's how this "policy change" came about.

I think highplainsdem is probably right in her OP "Musk can't limit his silly polls to Twitter Blue subscribers without showing how few there are."

poll(s) anyways. Why waste time on completing such a poll tailored especially by the person who is the subject of the poll?

The end result is one a lot of us could have predicted easily in advance, that he'll ignore the results (as he's done) and come up w/ another half-wit poll to yield the results he's looking for. Thus, in short, why waste our time on his stupid poll(s)?
