Judge strips Alex Jones of bankruptcy protections after he tried to dodge $1.5B Sandy Hook judgment

Houston Judge Christopher M. López reportedly ended a stay preventing Sandy Hook families from collecting a $1.5 billion judgment against conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

In a ruling on Monday, López granted an order to lift a stay that was automatically put in place when Jones filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protections.

The judge set the order "immediately to (i) allow the Sandy Hook Post-Trial Families' Cases to continue to proceed to entry of final judgment and (ii) once judgments are entered, to allow appeals, if any, to proceed and the Sandy Hook Post-Trial Families to pursue, respond to and participate in any such appeals without further order of the Court."

News 12's John Craven reported that the families of Sandy Hook victims agreed to postpone collection of the massive debt for now.

Not sure why the families are postponing collection of the settlement. That noxious blob will only find more ways to hide his money.

... I think the reason that the victims have postponed the collection is to be sure the barn door is closed on Jones, and to present a unified front, that they will not settle out individually until Jone's finances finally once and for all in the light of day.

I can see the unified front being likely. Settling individually won't bring those kids back.
Closure could be reached by ruining someone who caused such hurt for the money it paid.
I'm also going to toss in a tepid "told you so" to those who scoffed when I said getting BKO protection was no slam dunk for Jones.
The judges & trustees have a LOT to say about how said dollars get protected, if at all.

does. Does he know what it means to be responsible, and take responsibility for his actions, his words? Obviously not. The worst kind of human being. I hope that the lawsuits and other stuff doesn't stop either. He deserves all of it.
