most of the people that support him have been conditioned by the GOP over their entire lifetime to believe strongly that all taxation is bad. They hold this belief even though the majority of them are working or lower middle class who benefit tremendously from the public safety net. They vote repeatedly for billionaires to pay in nothing because taxes=bad is ingrained in their ideology at a basic level. In Trump they see not a lying cheat who bilked the public out of his fair share to the tune of $millions year after year, they see rather a shrewd business man who gamed the unfair tax system.
I dont see these revelations hurting his image at all with anyone who still may support him be they magas or go where the wind blows independents who are mad about inflation more than criminals running the government.

(65,337 posts)The salary shows up as income, as it legally should.
In other sections of the return, there could be entries for charitable donations equaling that amount.
The fact that it shows as income doesn't mean he kept it.
Since he's a liar, him saying he donated it doesn't mean he did. But, it would show up as income either way.

America needs an anti-corruption law, with teeth, applicable to politicians and unwashed alike.

(42,770 posts)of audit and he never produced an audit letter Am I the only one who saw that?
That said, all trump is going to say is that he thought he was under audit. Boom. Hell, he's probably already said that . Chicken feed lie for him.
