A certain number of them may be coming up for seasonal farm work.

Scroll to the second half of the page, and look at the number of listings for seasonal farmworkers. Multiply that by 48 states. I suspect this is part of what's going on. They're desperate for work, and the agricultural industry is desperate for workers.

This list is always full. US agriculture has a circuit of jobs that they rotate through depending on the season, crop and location. They share that information with folks back home. They can make enough in a year to go home and build houses.

But many will never return home.

3. Republicans and Evangelicals fomenting border crisis

Evangelical churches proselytizing in Mexico have been promising their church’s help on arrival in the USIt’s a story that needs to be told. And has recently been pointed out, neither Biden or Democrats have been saying there’s an open border. DeSantis, Abbot, Hannity and other Republicans can’t say it often enough. Abbot and DeSantis actually provide illegal immigrants with transportation to better locals than their (forgive me) shit hole states.

(Note that if you dig deep enough you’ll find those same evangelicals fomenting violence between newly arrived evangelical sects/cults and traditional Catholic populations.)

So when you get the chance, tell it like it really is. Republicans will do anything, including encouraging people to storm the southern border, in order to try to ‘own the libs’.

Is is cruel letting people stay here for many months and then deporting them back to their home country when their asylum claims are denied in court ?
