I listen to talk radio to fall asleep. WABC is the only station that comes in.
1:07 a.m. -- Frank Morano -- Other Side of Midnight. Morano was incensed b/c Zelensky showed "disrespect" to Congress and to this country by wearing a sweatshirt when he gave his speech to Congress on Wednesday. Why couldn't he at least wear a sports jacket? A tie? He went on about this for about 5 minutes. (Reminded me of the outrage with Obama's tan suit.)
I *was* about to fall asleep, but after hearing this, my eyes bugged out in the dark and my intentions were delayed by about an hour.

I don't know who the little girl is. She might be Ruthie Bie, the daughter of FDR's gardener?
The little dog appears to be Fala, FDR's famous little Scottish Terrier.

(16,867 posts)He's partial to sweatshirts, too. The Senate might have rules against that. I don't know. But I wonder what it would be like if all of Congress and the President dressed casual. Would it change anything else about their job performance?

(129,950 posts)and he had to enter the chamber to perform any of his functions there. As Lt. Gov., like the US VP, he is President of the PA Senate -
Congress in general has a dress code, which is why Carnival Cruz and Loser Lindsey, who both refused to put on a suit and tie during the final confirmation vote for Ketanji Brown-Jackson, were refused entry to the chamber floor, and they did this purposely in a childish way, to delay completing that vote. They finally voted at least an hour or so after the last votes were tallied, by doing their "thumbsdown" gestures through the door of the Senate Cloakroom.
I even did a snapshot and zoom-in of fucker Cruz doing his theatrics - and ironically, his sweater was the same color as Zelenskyy's sweatshirt -

(530 posts)Sorry when I thought the same thing about a dress code is when I saw all those disrespectful idiots attacking the Capitol. I looked at the attacker and turned away in anger as the insurrectionist showed no respect for for the Congressional dress code (lol). If that's all they have they are in trouble because they have NOTHING.

Don't they know if he had worn a jacket and tie, Carlson, Hannity, Ingraham Gym Jordan etc would have said "How shameful of Zelensky..he's wearing a jacket and tie while his people are suffering and dying is a real 'let them eat cake moment' "

(129,950 posts)Have been an on and off listener of WABC for 40-some years. Remember that was Limpballs' "flagship" station and also the one that launched the likes of Bob Grant, Sean Hannity, Curtis and Lisa Sliwa, and others....
I would wonder what he would say about about Gymsuit's "lost jacket".
