What If Jack Smith Was AG?

What if Jack Smith had been confirmed as AG instead of Merrick Garland? Yeah, yeah, I know it's just a pipe dream, just wishful thinking.

I guarantee that Smith would never have gotten 20 confirmation votes from Republicans.

I wonder where we would be today with; investigations, indictments, convictions?

23 months and counting, the Iowa caucus is Jan. 22nd, 2024.

Sorry, I'm just frustrated, I will work it off in a bit when I go out and shovel some snow.

Are you saying if Smith was the AG everyone would have been indicted and convicted by now? Bull.

The investigations are not taking too long, yet. Once again, Garland did not take office until March 2021, do the math. The Georgia investigation is the longest running investigation into J6. It' s a smaller investigation and it is almost two years old. No indictments yet. I don't hear nobody complaining about DA Willis. If they are no indictments of the coup plotters in the year 2023, then you have a legitimate complaint.

Until then everyone needs to relax.

before investigating Trump's inner circle. DOJ was shocked at Ms. Hutchinson's testimony before the J6 committee.

How can anyone defend DOJ for the way they are handling the stolen classified documents? We will never know how many of our foreign agents were murdered because of Trump. The harm that Trump has done to our nation security will take a generation to rebuild.

Democrats damn well better win the presidency in 2024 and 2028 because I cannot foresee a Trump trial happening before 2026 at this pace.

to be personally on all of our pet investigations/prosecutions. The two jobs are not the same.

Garland is doing his job--and very well by all appearances--and it looks like he made a keen choice choosing Jack Smith as lead prosecutor.

Did not work off my frustration though, My house is the last house of a dead end street, we have 1 good snow plow driver and the one that plowed today. The good driver plows the snow straight down the end of the road into the woods, the guy today stops 15 feet short of the woods. No nothing there to damage his blade. I just shoveled his pile the rest of the way, no harm, no foul. The thing is the guy was plowing the snow while I was out there shoveling my driveway. I did wave at him.

People need to remember one fact, Merrick Garland has a record now that he can be judged on. It's fantastic that he decided to select a special counsel, things are getting done. Where was the special counsel a year and a half ago, that would have made much more sense?
