Trump's tax returns released by House Ways and Means Committee

cnbc

The House Ways and Means Committee released six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns on Friday, offering the most detailed account yet of his finances while in the White House.

The panel voted last week to make the returns public with redactions of sensitive information after a lengthy legal battle over making the documents public. The Ways and Means Committee last month obtained Trump’s personal and federal income tax returns for the years 2015 to 2020. It had sought the records since 2019, when Trump was president, and he tried to block their release in court.

including the four in which he served as president. They have also raised questions over the lengths he took to claim tax deductions on items that may not warrant it to evade paying taxes."

Proves he's a tax cheat. That's why he hid them. No shock, there.

There doesn’t seem to be anything shocking or illegal in them.
Sure he didn’t pay taxes but that’s the tax code problem. It was legal.
If he had released them in the beginning no one would know or care what was in them.
I suppose the only reason he didn’t want them, out was that they showed he wasn’t as rich as he said. Nothing more earth shattering than that.

You could be Elon Fucking Musk...

And IF from January 1 to December 31st... you don't take a salary or sell securities and just live off of money you paid taxes on the previous year...

Your tax return would show zero income.

Almost everyone had the same answer, "He is a great businessman". He couldn't or wouldn't have won the republican nomination or the presidency if his taxes were released back then. He needed that rich image.

After 2016 though, it had become a talking point for them. His people loved that he fought with the MSM and the democrats on every issue, his taxes including.

I think a lot of the tax "deduction" is legit but there is probably some which he manipulated the valuing of his properties to gain deduction, which is "illegal". But I don't think it's anything but some fines as punishment. It is definitely not anything that will get him jailed like some hoped around here.

Other than that, people are going to disagree with me, but this is not fare to trump. He chose to keep this confidential. Yes, he lied and stated that he was under audit and never released them for the election and that was one reason why he lost.

9. Trump is not a great businessman

Trump creates certain lies about himself. And then tries to hide evidence that can disprove those statements.

Trump is not a great businessman.

He had the opportunity to buy the Dallas Cowboys five years before its current owner for $50 million.
It is worth today $8 Billion.

He bought the USFL Generals instead for $10 million.
It was moderately successful until Trump talked the other owners in competing head to head against the NFL in the fall.
Then it had to shutdown.
