…on a teenager who had a cochlear implant. I asked his mother what sports he hoped to be cleared for, given that he had the magnetic device on his skull.

She replied, “Oh, you know, non-contact stuff like soccer.” Non-contact? Yeah, right. No letter in his chart from the ENT surgeon who did the procedure, saying which sports were allowable. She was not happy with me when I would not sign his form.
