Fine, let them all expire, then let Democrats craft new tax cuts for the middle class

Hell yes! Let all of the Bush tax cuts expire and then let the Democrats stand up and craft a new cuts for the middle class and see how the Right feels about causing a stalemate in the Congress then. Raise the marginal rate back to 39.6% and just for the sake of investment only raise the investment return tax to 28% or so to satisfy the Republicans, tell them take it or leave it, but leave it at your own peril.

1. So they obstruct.

Taxes go up. America feels it. The fact that they obstructed and didn't pass the tax cuts will not get reported by corporate media. The story will be how the President couldn't work with the congress to get anything done.

2014 is a banner year for republican gains in the house and senate, and then the president must VETO THEIR tax cuts.

Better yet, go to the people and ask them to help him get the Repugs to change their minds like FDR did.

I think our President is smart enough to figure this out and I will back him with whatever economic course he chooses.

OFA has not been dis-banded. The corporate media can not report on it; but door to door canvassers will get the word out, anyway.

No such bill will ever make it through the House (where practically nothing has changed).

It's gonna be higher taxes for everyone, courtesy of the House, but blamed on Obama.

All Obama has to say is that those tax cuts expired, a bill is ready to go with tax cuts for the poor and middle class. If you think that America won't be watching that, you would be wrong.

President Obama announced the perfect, political and pragmatic, path:

Introduce a bill preserving the cuts for those under $250,000, then fight whatever fight comes. The bill is already waiting for (the gop controlled) House to approve it and President Obama has said his pen stands ready.

Failure of the gop-controlled House to vote on it, or refusal to allow it to come up for a vote, just highlights the obstruction that is the modern gop.

Then, when they do so and EVERYBODY's taxes go up because of the gop-controlled House's obstruction; the House flips in 2014.
