As Black Friday Approaches and Walmart Warehouse Workers Strike,
WALMART WORKERS FROM STORES AND WAREHOUSES TO ANNOUNCE BLACK FRIDAY PROTEST PLANS
National Leaders to Discuss their Support for Strikes, Protests and Online Actions
On a media call this Thursday, workers from Walmart stores and warehouses will announce their plans for protests, strikes and online actions leading up to and on Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year.
Walmart workers, many of whom are being forced to miss the Thanksgiving holiday with their families because of Walmarts early sales on Thanksgiving day, held the first-ever strikes against the mega-retailer in October for its attempts to silence workers who speak out for change. With national leaders who were part of protests at more than 200 stores on October 10, the group committed to a wide range of non-violent activities leading up to and on Black Friday, including rallies, flash mobs, direct action and other efforts to inform customers about the illegal actions that Walmart has been taking against its employees.
Striking warehouse workers, who move billions of dollars of merchandise for Walmart, will join the call to speak about the retaliation they have experienced for speaking out against unsafe working conditions, including extreme temperatures, broken and unsafe equipment and inadequate access to clean drinking water. The workers from the Inland Empire, outside of Los Angeles, held a 15-day strike that included a six-day, 50-mile pilgrimage for safe jobs in September.
National leaders will join the call to discuss their support of Walmart workers. Watch a video from Walmart workers on why theyre standing up and follow the conversation on Twitter: #WalmartStrikers.

I think there is something to that suggestion that all upper case raises your bp, as though someone were screaming at you...
