Any hope of seeing Trump brought to trial for January 6th, or the stolen classified documents is gone.

It's not going to happen, and the Supreme Court is why. It'll be up to the voters, to us, to decide if we want the country that we've had, or if we just want to let it go. The balance of power is not a true balance when there's really no effective way of eliminating corrupt justices who refuse to follow or enforce the law.

Lying is now a core value accepted as a legitimate way of governing by the Republican party. That's Trump's legacy and unfortunately, it has gotten to the point where there's not going to be much we can do about it. It's too late, and our party's values are proving to be powerless in the face of massive evil and corruption.

If/when he loses, he has permission from current conservative SCOTUS to sell any documents he still has, or has copied? Freethinker65 Apr 25 #8

God knows what he did with those documents.
Lives were and are in danger.

The US Supreme Court does not care about the US or Americans.
It is quite clear they care about themselves only.

He should have already been there, and would be if our justice department had been resolute instead of dawdling around doing nothing after a congressional investigation handed them mountains of evidence. The big excuse now is that "this would look political." Yeah so what? Let it. Justice is more important than keeping up non-existent appearances.

I know the talking point is it would have already been settled by now, but the wheels of justice move very slowly. Even if the indictments had come down a whole year earlier it is probable the trials would not have begun. My wife is involved in this world. A month or so ago she was on a case from 2019 that was just going to trial. There are endless ways that trials get delayed.

This Supreme Court is trying to steal the proper and timely knowledge of what trump did...from the American People.

All the puke party can do now...is steal.

After all, Trump stole the documents when President so he was entitled to take them and sell to any and all enemies of the United States if that was his desire, because Trump's official duty was to do what he thought/thinks is best...and that always means what is BEST for Trump. As Melania says "BE BEST".

Trump could have and should have destroyed anything he desired according to SCOTUS because there will be absolutely no consequences to pay in his lifetime.

Yet Biden has no immunity and cannot even use his Presidential power to forgive fractions of student loans, nor protect pregnant American females by mandating the allowance of seeking best available practice reproductive healthcare.

Even if he was convicted, then it would be "well, he still have X number of appeals and we can't really know until those are resolved".

We can all see with our own eyes:

1. he stole classified documents and mishandled classified information
2. he incited a riot to overturn the last presidential election
3. he was grossly unqualified to be president, sucked up to dictators, introduced nepotism and crony capitalism to government, cut taxes for the rich, actively worked against the pandemic response resulting in millions dead and the economy in ruins
4. he has no respect for the military

If that isn't enough to convince someone not to vote for him again, then a court conviction upheld by appeals and the Supreme Court isn't going to be anyway.

We shouldn't take the bait of hanging on for a conviction to make the case for why he shouldn't be re-elected. The reasons were with us the whole time.

And it's almost better if the trials don't happen until after he loses the election because then the some of the arguments against jailing him (that he'll be seen as a martyr and it will be considered election interference) fall away.
