Ruling Family Mortality Alert...

Bush the First's condition is clearly worsening...be prepared for the end to come fairly soon, I think. And be careful of what we say and do.

Not so much because he'll be missed here(although his son's terms did end up inspiring some ironic nostalgia for No. 41's era) but because Faux and the rest will use Bush's passing and our reactions to it for their own base mobilization needs.

They'll be using this to try to seize control of the debate and delegitimize Obama's second term(just as they used Nixon's death to help force Clinton into line behind their agenda).

And they'll be looking for any less-than-appropriate(or even appropriate but not-deferential-enough-to-suit-them) comments to use as fauxrage-bait.

Just a heads up...not that anybody here needs to be reminded, but thought it should be said.
We all KNOW what these guys are like at times like this.

I think the REPUBS are desperate to divert from the strong public sentiment for gun control, the fiscal cliff (and REPUGs obstruction)....

Of course, if the former President's condition continues to worsen or should he not survive, that will be a major news event. I wish him no ill will, myself, but neither do I want unkind reactions to be exploited.

He was a war criminal long before he became a traitor when helped St Ronnie fuck over Carter. I look forward to pissing on his fucking grave with my only regret that he dies a free man and not behind the prison bars he's earned.

it's to stick to our guns and speak our minds and not play nice. Being nice gets us nowhere.

Funny that Nixon was the protege of Prescott and in return shepherded poppy's career.

Let's hold our tongues for awhile. Not that we shouldn't be political but avoid mentioning the ruling family directly for a little while seems like a good strategy. Or as an alternative, patiently pointing out the ultimate setbacks their policies help initiate only in response to the worthless/baseless praise that will be heaped on them by the media.

There is nothing now they can do to escape the legacy of President Jr.
