Is a cat parasite responsible for the growth of right-wing nuttiness?

"The subjects who tested positive for the parasite had significantly delayed reaction times. Flegr was especially surprised to learn, though, that the protozoan appeared to cause many sex-specific changes in personality. Compared with uninfected men, males who had the parasite were more introverted, suspicious, oblivious to other people’s opinions of them, and inclined to disregard rules. "

Republicans like dogs because they can order them around and dogs will comply. Cats are too cool for that subservience crap.

"Compared with uninfected men, males who had the parasite were more introverted, suspicious, oblivious to other people’s opinions of them, and inclined to disregard rules. Infected women, on the other hand, presented in exactly the opposite way: they were more outgoing, trusting, image-conscious, and rule-abiding than uninfected women."

IOW this virus can send men to prison and make women more popular.

cat owners tend to lean left. They respect a cat's independent nature. It's the dog owners who lean conservative - they like that dogs OBEY.

Our goats are Nubian which are the cats of goats and Great Pyrenees are the cats of dogs.

Conservatives wouldn't like our dogs. They obey when it's not important. When they sense danger you cannot call them from their duty. Last year they had a copper head cornered. I reached across a fence and pinned it down with a stick hollering for my wife to bring a shovel while yelling at the dogs to back off. One unable to retreat with her man in danger grabbed the snake throwing it up in the air and catching it several times killing it.

She was so pleased with with herself even though she got bit. we treated with penicillin and Benadryl. She recovered fully.
