It was amazing. I expected a quiet calm man speaking softly. What I heard was a dynamic eloquent and gifted orator. He had the crowd on their feet about 5 minutes after his hour long speech began and the audience remained standing for most of it.
It is still one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
His defeat is a great loss. I certainly hope he runs for office again.

(22,143 posts)Dennis could have made it. No one got a bigger response from the working class than he. It's a damn shame he was considered so far left when he merely holds what are or should be basic Democratic positions. The whole party should be Kucinich but the corporate Dems have slid so far to the right that he is considered "crazy".
Sad.

(8,554 posts)Yes, to actually hear him talk is a true inspiration! I listened to his speeches long ago, back when he was just beginning to raise his voice, and his abilities in elocution, to get a point across, have always been one of his terrific strong points. His is a wonderful and powerful voice for the working-class of America!
I only hope this defeat will not silence him!
