It'll be Obama by a Landslide. Because Conservative Democrats always carry the day.
America will see right through "Tricky Dick" Romney.
Man, I hope it's not a long, hot summer with racial tensions boiling over.

(27,993 posts)Charlotte will receive a $50 million grant from the federal government for convention security. The city plans to spend $25 million on undisclosed weapons for the police.
The city has also passed a variety of new laws, intended to curtail protest activity. These include:
Rules prohibiting camping on public property.
Restricting the use of a list of different items: "cables, bars, projectiles, spray guns, breakable containers," aerosol containers, fireworks, smoke bombs, pepper spray, mace, masks, scarves, body-armor, helmets, and police scanners.
These laws are permanent and will remain effective after the end of the convention.
They may also have ramifications before the convention: namely, the eviction of Occupy Charlotte from its encampment downtown.

It's the sure way to show America that you're the Law and Order candidate. Because the Media will never, never emphasise your crackdown while giving Romney a relative free pass.

(8,556 posts)Incumbent president who has a lot of people who really hate him, but not enough to get the other guy over 50 percent. I suspect the margin will be something like 2004.

(11,101 posts)Nixon ran and lost in 60 when he was VP he then ran and lost for governor in 62 (You won't have Dick Nixon to kick around anymore) and then he was pretty much out of public life, "the wilderness years", until he ran again in 68 with a "secret plan" to win the war. You're right that it's hard to compare him to Romney but he was actually less of an inside guy in 68 than Romney is now.

Never, ever, EVER change your policies in an attempt to win them back.
