The first egg has now hatched - currently both parents are on the nest with baby and eggs, and a second egg has recently pipped.
I haven't seen the hatchling yet, but I'm watching eagerly while I'm at work and I live in hope!

on the nest. It looks like a ball of fluff. Really cute.

He's the one who always tidies up the big sticks and moves them out of the way.
And he brings her food when she's occupied on the nest.
He's a very supportive mate.

(62,325 posts)5. I know, it's really amazing to see him be so supportive of her. When I checked in just in time
to see him arrive and then switch places with her, I guess so she could go do a few things she needed to do, it was so wonderful. And I lucked out and got to see the baby as they exchanged places.
