Norway killer: 'I would have done it again'

By KARL RITTER | Associated Press – 3 hrs ago

OSLO, Norway (AP) — Norwegian gunman Anders Behring Breivik insisted Tuesday he would massacre 77 people all over again, calling his July rampage the most "spectacular" attack by a nationalist militant since World War II.

Reading a prepared statement in court, the anti-Muslim extremist lashed out at Norwegian and European governments for embracing immigration and multiculturalism. He claimed to be speaking as a commander of an anti-Islam militant group he called the Knights Templar — a group that prosecutors say does not exist.

------

According to Breivik, Western Europe was gradually taken over by "Marxists and multiculturalists" after World War II because it didn't have "anti-communist" leaders like U.S. Sen. Joseph McCarthy. The senator dominated the early 1950s with his sensational but unproven charges of Communist subversion in high government circles in the U.S.

"But even McCarthy was too moderate,"
Breivik said.

That was the best he could accomplish in life, being famous for being the racist asshole who massacred a bunch of innocent people.

...although he of course cares about himself more than his victims. Gotta love the rule of law that gives him this opportunity to grandstand.

Video: Breivik's tears in court were over 'war' in Europe: lawyer
AFP April 16, 2012

OSLO — Norwegian gunman Anders Behring Breivik's tears in court Monday as prosecutors showed a film he made to explain his anti-Islam ideology were linked to his fears over an ongoing war in Europe, his lawyer said.

Breivik's main lawyer, Geir Lippestad, told reporters he appeared to have cried over his feelings that his attacks last July were "cruel but necessary . . . to save Europe from an ongoing war. Those were the feelings he was having."

The 33-year-old right-wing extremist showed little emotion during the first day of his trial even as the prosecution listed in detail how each of the 77 people he killed in twin attacks last July 22 died.

But when the prosecution showed his 12-minute film — a short version of the 1,500-page manifesto he posted online shortly before the attacks showing still shots with ideological messages set to music — his eyes briefly welled up and he wiped away tears.

The time and place of his release should be announced and made public.......and anyone who wishes to show up to "witness" it can do so......and the authorities can turn their backs as soon as he does so.

would likely garner a death sentence here in the US. Hope Breivik knows how fortunate he is to be Norwegian.
