The right has tried to claim that the arena was empty for Obamas Ohio rally, but an analysis of the photo reveals that the picture was taken before the president went on stage.

Pic 3. Conveniently, the stage is out stage is out of frame

(57,936 posts)he were watching someone on the stage. That is more likely a picture of the stadium with something going on on screens or someone preparing the podium (thing Obama stood on). They could have been pulling the podium up. That would explain why the man is pointing like that and why they are all looking up.

(70,635 posts)I live in Columbus, OH less then 2 miles from the event .... I had to work ....
14,000 people turned out to a 18,000 seat arena .... 20,000 if you count
floor seating ..... to go to the speech you had to be there 3 + hours before the
event. The empty seats were in bad sight lines or at the top of the stadium.
Mitt Romney has never had >10,000 for any event he has had during his entire
campaign.
